Job Overview:

A Kitchen Batch Prep Cook is responsible for daily food preparation, ingredient sourcing, and station organization to ensure efficient, high-quality, and safe service; you will follow preparation lists, manage inventory, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with chefs for menu consistency, often requiring self-starting qualities and strong food safety knowledge. If you are motivated to learn about the food industry, our catering-style kitchen provides the perfect opportunities for knowledge and growth. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare bulk meats, vegetables, poultry, baked goods and other foods for packaging.
  • Prepare workstations with required ingredients and equipment to meet production goals.
  • Mix Industrial size food batches according to recipes, including measuring, and weighing and storing.
  • Handle and store finished products ingredients in accordance with HAACP Standards.
  • Daily perform all cleaning and sanitizing of machinery utilized in the working stations.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile and safe work area using proper cleaning chemicals and equipment daily.
  • Participate in “special attention” projects for the upkeep of the commercial kitchen. 
  • Complete and submit end-of-day paperwork to Commercial Kitchen Manager for USDA, FDA, and SQF compliance.
  • Maintain Food Safety under USDA/FDA/SQF Requirements. 

Qualifications:

  • Kitchen experience preferred
  • Basic knife skills 
  • Repetitively lifting to 50lbs -Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Shift Time: 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday
