This position is based in Detroit, Michigan, supporting transportation operations for Stellantis and General Motors. The team plays a critical role in coordinating daily freight movements, managing driver activity, supporting customer requirements, and ensuring seamless communication between customers, drivers, and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily routes and driver assignments to ensure on-time service.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal operations teams.
  • Monitor freight movement and communicate shipment updates, delays, and service issues.
  • Support driver scheduling, attendance tracking, and staffing needs.
  • Assist with fleet utilization and daily operational planning.
  • Investigate and resolve transportation and service-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations.
  • Provide coaching and support to drivers while helping maintain a positive work environment.
  • Track operational performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with leadership to meet customer expectations and operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business, or related fields are a plus.
  • Prior experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, customer service, or operations environments preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and hold others accountable.
  • Willingness to learn transportation operations and develop within a leadership role.
