About the role

  • Fulfilling Volunteer Enhancements:
    • Assist in the creation of volunteer opportunities on our internal volunteer and giving portal, Community Hub
    • Coordinate transportation, catering, security, facilities, etc., as needed for events
    • Manage, maintain and organize volunteer and giving projects and program supplies
    • Assist with day-to-day operations, including communication with team members, nonprofit partners, Facilities teams, etc.
  • Team Member Giving Support:
    • Assist the Senior Program Manager of Giving in the coordination of Rocket Community Challenge, including communication with nonprofit partners, team members, etc., throughout the campaign
    • Assist the Senior Program Manager of Giving in the coordination of School Supplies Drive planning and implementation
  • Onsite Assistance:
    • Serve as an on-site contact for various in-person volunteer opportunities
    • Check-in team members and provide direction
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Administrative assistance including research and reports on new and existing nonprofit organizations, scheduling meetings, and miscellaneous duties as assigned
    • Learn about our business by attending meetings, huddles and trainings
    • Share creative ideas that will help improve our business
    • Assist in creating materials and/or presentations for meetings
    • Take notes during meetings and provide recaps

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Salesforce (can be learned on the job)

  • Workday (can be learned on the job)

About you

  • Previous work or volunteer experience in event planning or with a nonprofit
  • Works well in fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written and presentation)
