The Small Diameter Pipe Torch Cutter is responsible for accurately cutting small-diameter industrial and agricultural pipe using an oxy-acetylene or similar torch system. This role ensures that all cuts meet quality and safety standards while supporting production schedules. The position operates in a non-climate-controlled shop and requires physical stamina for lifting and handling materials. Key Responsibilities: Operate oxy-acetylene or similar torch equipment to cut small-diameter pipe to specified lengths. Follow precise measurements and specifications to ensure accurate cuts. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of cut pipe and scrap material. Inspect cut pieces for quality, straightness, and compliance with standards. Assist with material handling, including lifting, moving, and staging pipe as needed. Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe torch handling procedures. Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly. Support other team members with fabrication and production tasks as assigned. Perform other general labor duties as assigned Qualifications Previous experience operating torch cutting equipment preferred. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Basic understanding of pipe types, sizes, and cutting methods. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment. Work Schedule: Full-time, including Saturdays as required.
