Job DetailsJob Location: DEWEY, OK 74029Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: ManufacturingMaterial Handler/Loading Position Summary The Flatbed Truck Loading Crew Member is responsible for safe loading, securing, and preparing materials for transport on flatbed trailers. This position works in an outdoor yard or manufacturing environment and requires physical labor, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Load pipe, steel, equipment, or other materials onto flatbed trailers using forklifts, cranes, or other lifting equipment Assist with proper weight distribution to ensure safe transport Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, tarps, and blocking materials Inspect loads before dispatch to ensure compliance with DOT and company standards Communicate with drivers, yard personnel, and supervisors regarding load specifications Verify shipping documentation matches materials loaded Maintain clean and organized loading areas Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Assist with unloading materials as needed Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsRequired Skills and Qualifications Ability to work in a physically demanding environment Basic understanding of load securement practices Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Strong attention to detail Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly Frequent bending, climbing, standing, and walking Ability to climb onto trailers and loads safely Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments Ability to wear required PPE including steel-toe boots, gloves, hard hat, and safety glasses Work Environment Outdoor yard and/or industrial setting Exposure to weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain Exposure to moving equipment and heavy materials
