Position: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)

 

Setting: Outpatient Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Vestibular, Concussion, ReVital (oncology), Hand Therapy, and Neurology

 

Status: Full Time 32-40 hours

 

Compensation: $29.00 - $38.00/ Hour

This full-time River Hill position is ideal for a Maryland-licensed PTA with at least one year of outpatient orthopedic experience. However, we will consider new graduate physical therapist assistants. On-site mentorship is available with our multidisciplinary team. 

 

 

We treat a diverse orthopedic population, from teens to geriatrics, with specialty services including sports medicine, oncology (ReVital), neurology, vestibular, and concussion programs.

 

 

Schedule: Full-time (32- 40 hours), treating until 8:00 PM twice a week. The last patient is scheduled an hour before close. Early days begin at 7:00 A.M.

 

 

Incentives: $3,000 Sign-on bonus for a full-time Maryland-licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) with indefinite student loan help.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
