Job Description

Own architecture across multiple parallel workstreams (UI/API/data/integration/LLM), with explicit sequencing, risk burndown, and integration planning for Intelligent Applications. You define how solutioning is done—templates, ADR standards, threat modeling triggers, NFR profiles—and you mentor senior engineers and SAs. You partner with leadership to translate tradeoffs into business outcomes (cost, risk, time-to-value, reliability, AI risk).

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-stream technical program architecture: dependencies, contract milestones, cutover strategies.
  • Define reference architectures and golden paths for recurring engagement patterns.
  • Establish architecture governance: review criteria, exceptions process, “must-haves” for production readiness.
  • Drive data architecture at portfolio level: canonical patterns, shared entities, contract stability, performance SLOs for critical paths.
  • Own security architecture posture for portfolio: zero-trust patterns, data classification workflows, vendor risk framing.
  • Operationalize LLM / agent solution patterns with enterprise controls: evaluation, PII boundaries, human oversight, cost/latency budgets, red-team expectations.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • 8+ years equivalent experience or demonstrated staff-level solution leadership.
  • Proven multi-team / multi-stream technical coordination with shipped outcomes.
  • Excellence in integration + data + web-scale patterns; ability to arbitrate contentious technical decisions—including LLM architecture controversy (RAG vs fine-tuning vs buy).
  • Executive-facing communication: crisp options, costs, risks, and recommendations.
  • Preferred qualifications

  • High-trust client environments and transformation programs.
  • LLM/agent delivery guardrails adopted across teams (templates, eval suites, monitoring minimums).
  • Experience quantifying architecture decisions (TCO/ROI ranges, risk reduction).
  • Nice to have: Databricks + Snowflake reference trajectories for hybrid lakehouse/warehouse estates common in enterprise analytics modernization.
  • Success in first 90 days

  • Standards measurably reduce rework and integration defects.
  • Multi-stream program delivers with clearer interfaces and fewer late surprises.
  • Other architects/engineers measurably level up (reviews, fewer escalations).

The starting pay range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000.  Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
