We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our growing practice. Previous experience in optometry is preferred but not required. We are happy to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Welcome patients and create a positive experience.
- Perform pretesting and gather patient information before the doctor examination.
- Obtain chief complaint, review medical history, update medications, and record visual acuity, color vision, stereo vision, and intraocular pressure (IOP).
- Assist with contact lens training for new wearers.
- Bring contact lens trials to the examination room as needed.
Diagnostic Testing
Operate and perform testing with:
- Auto Refraction/Keratometry (AR)
- Corneal Topography (Topo)
- Visual Field (VF)
- OPTOS retinal imaging
Electronic Medical Records
- Accurately enter patient data into the Compulink EHR system.
- Prepare the doctor's exam room by opening patient charts, displaying OPTOS and Topography images, and locking the workstation when appropriate.
Clinic Flow
- Help keep the daily schedule running efficiently and ensure providers stay on time.
- Prepare and clean examination rooms between patients.
- Clean and maintain pretesting equipment, diagnostic instruments, and trial lenses.
Inventory Management
- Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals, samples, brochures, handouts, and medical supplies.
- Order and oversee stock, prescription, and trial contact lenses.
- Reorder contact lens solution starter kits as needed.
Qualifications
Preferred
- Previous experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office.
