About the Role:
The Computer Technician plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the technological infrastructure within an organization. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading computer hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. The technician will work closely with end-users to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate records of repairs and configurations, as well as recommending improvements to systems and processes. Ultimately, the Computer Technician ensures that all computing resources are reliable, secure, and aligned with the organization's operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification in Computer Technology or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in computer hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical certification.
- Experience with enterprise-level IT support and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software applications according to organizational standards.
- Provide timely technical support and guidance to end-users both remotely and on-site.
- Maintain and update inventory of computer equipment and software licenses.
- Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement system upgrades and security patches.
