- Initiates and maintains the hygiene/cleanliness of the patients, the patient's environment, and the unit environment.
- Understands and recognizes appropriate storage and safety of medications (such as large volume IV's, alcohol, saline, medications in prepackaged kits).
- Promotes and fosters an environment of comfort and safety for patients and visitors.
- Performs or assists with performing nutritional/ hydration interventions (feeding, providing fluids, H20 or snacks).
- Identifies and communicates appropriate patient data to members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Collects and records patient related data through the performance of direct care tasks.
- Utilizes appropriate health and safety to protect both the patient and staff.
- Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
- Performs general transportation and courier duties as directed.
- Assist clinicians with patient treatment under direct supervision of the appropriate licensed personnel.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of shared equipment such as walkers and gait belts according to hospital policy
- Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are ready before entering patient room.
- Collaborate with the clinicians to assess patient readiness for mobility.
- Follows Extended Recovery Standard Workflow to prepare the patient for discharge.
- Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect everyone involved.
- Assists with various patient transfer and gait activities.
- Perform assistive device and brace fitting and provide other patient/family education as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant program or 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting
- High School diploma preferred
- BLS Certification
- Must have State Nursing Assistant Certification

- PRN (coverage as needed); day shift
