We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill the role of Shipping Associate. This full-time, 1st shift position is based in Mifflintown, PA, and offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to a culture built on quality, integrity, and teamwork.


The Shipping Associate be responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipment activities in a manufacturing warehouse environment, ensuring our high quality, custom cabinetry arrives on time, and in perfect condition, to our customers.


Responsibilities

  • Support the CARE values of the organization.
  • Commit to producing a quality product for our customers.
  • Assemble, address, stamp, and ship merchandise or material.
  • Help with wrapping product ready to be loaded into truck.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Loading wrapped cabinets on truck
  • Organization of cabinets in warehouse once they are wrapped.
  • Pulling cabinets from locations in the warehouse to be loaded onto trucks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields
  • UPS, Common Carrier and Private Trucking knowledge with a manufacturing company would be an asset
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail


Working Relationship

Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates and production floor workers. The Shipping Associate works under the immediate supervision of the Department Supervisor.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time  
  • Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period 

PPE

Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes at all times while in the production floor.


Safety

This position expects to adhere to all safety rules to include the use of all require protective personal equipment (PPE). Specifically, eye and hearing protection must be worn at all times while in the production floor.


Work Environment Organization Structure/Career Progression

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: 

Non-air-conditioned environments; hazardous materials such paints, stains and solvents; machinery, conveyors, spray-booths and drying racks.
