Principal Accountabilities:

Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures inclusive of personnel, environmental, and food safety standards
Operate and make decisions for milling, screening, conveyance, and food grade equipment. Responsible for process quality and productivity using HMI and control systems in a rigorous environment
Operate mobile powered equipment (i.e. forklift or hoists) to move product or additives
Use hand and power tools to perform preventative and autonomous maintenance, troubleshoot complex machine issues, supports other operators in troubleshooting and providing guidance
Monitor equipment, operate control, process samples and adjust machine processes using selectivity and complex decision making, utilize computer systems to input and record data and support others
Sets up and operates control systems or a series of machines requiring interaction of several moderate to complex variables and often is considered the relief position for all production operations
Assist in the review, creation and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regularly provide peers guidance, coaching and training to pursue continuous improvement of facility operation
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic use of a computer
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
Prior experience in production-related work
Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
Previous forklift experience
Ability to operate production equipment and support multiple production operations
Experience using control panels to monitor and control equipment
Experience with sampling and testing processes
Mechanical aptitude, including the use of power tools, hand tools, and basic electrical tools
