We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Associate to support operations at our Dix, IL Distribution Center.
About the Role
As a Yard Associate, you will play an important role in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient yard environment. This position will start as a seasonal role (20-30 hours per week) with a primary focus on equipment handling, auto pool cover management, and general yard maintenance. Outstanding performers will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position. This is a great entry point for someone looking to grow with a dynamic company in the swimming pool industry.
What You’ll Do
- Safely handle and move pool equipment, auto covers, and related materials within the distribution yard.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, including routine upkeep and minor maintenance tasks.
- Assist with inventory organization and ensure proper storage of equipment and covers.
- Support the loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and help maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Work collaboratively with the distribution team to meet daily operational goals.
- Perform other yard-related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, or general labor role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Forklift or equipment operation experience is a plus.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Safety-minded with good attention to detail.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work 20-30 hours per week,
