About the RoleÂ
We are looking for someone who can perform quality work and meet deadlines with or without direct supervision. They will need to interact professionally with other employees and customers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Â If you have solid computer and design skills and an ability to learn, we will teach you what we need you to know.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
• Coordinating all activities for development and accuracy of new or revised technical publications, including operator manuals, maintenance manuals, equipment specifications, repair parts lists and miscellaneous other instructional literature.Â
• Prepare creative designs, photos or related drawings or details; uses designs to develop specifications or estimates of materials needed for a project.Â
• Drafting duties required, involving new and revised prints using AutoCAD and 3-D AutoDesk InventorÂ
• May be responsible for sending out new product releases and ECN’s to fulfillment, purchasing and outside vendorsÂ
• Update and maintain existing documentationÂ
• All other duties as assignedÂ
Candidate RequirementsÂ
• Associates Degree or higher preferredÂ
• 2+ years of in design/drafting or technical writing experience  Â
• High level of mechanical aptitudeÂ
• Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly and logicallyÂ
• Strong knowledge of the English language including rules and usageÂ
• Strong research skills including gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources (subject matter experts, product managers)Â
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentÂ
• Excellent project management skills with ability to balance multiple short and long-term projectsÂ
• 18 Years or olderÂ
• Eligible to work in the United StatesÂ
PreferredÂ
• Experience in desktop publishing, screen capture, graphics modification, and using common authoring tools such as Adobe Acrobat and MS OfficeÂ
• Experience with the latest releases of AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor programs
Location & Commitments
• Permanent full-time role based in Dixon, ILÂ
• Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pmÂ
