Job Summary:
The Industrial Paint Cleaner / Prepper is responsible for preparing surfaces for painting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean, sand and power wash metal surfaces, fabricated parts and structures prior to the painting process per process instructions.
- Masking and unmasking using paper, foil, tape, or other materials.
- Transport, move or guide parts, sub-assemblies, or assemblies before, during or after paint process and to next operation. This may include loading and unloading and moving racks or carts by hand and the use of material handling equipment such as a forklift or an overhead crane.
- Insure proper maintenance and operation of paint shop equipment.
- Maintains a safe clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Hang parts to prepare for power washing.
- Conduct daily test of solvents used to clean parts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Commitment and Location:
- Full-time role based in Dixon, IL
- Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5pm

Required Skills & Abilities
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
- Forklift experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Must be able to push a rolling load of parts.
- Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladder.
