Job summary: The primary responsibility of the Custodian is to support the Facility Maintenance Manager via facility cleaning to promote school safety and cleanliness, including classrooms, bathrooms, offices, and athletic facilities.

Salary: depending on FTE
FTE: 0.5-1.0
Benefits: Health stipend ($250-500/mo), tuition benefits for staff children
Reports to: Facility Maintenance Manager
Evaluation: Annual performance review

Essential Job Functions

Collaborate with the Facility Maintenance Manager to design daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
Thoroughly and efficiently clean facilities as assigned in the cleaning schedule, take out garbage, and pick up lost and found items.
Respond to staff requests if or when unexpected cleaning needs arise.
Interface with our cleaning supply company, track supply usage, and work to minimize costs.
Occasionally supervise after school detention as they relate to cleaning projects.

Required Professional Qualities

It is expected that the Custodian will

Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to clean thoroughly and efficiently.
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
