- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred from an accredited college or university in Human Services or related field or a minimum of a CDA in home visiting or comparable credential with a minimum of two years of previous supervised work experience with young children and/or parents.
This role provides comprehensive home-based services to families with children from the prenatal stage through age five, utilizing the Parents as Teachers curriculum and evidence-based family engagement frameworks. The position supports child development and school readiness through regular home visits, developmental screenings, assessments, parent education, and meaningful parent-child interactions while recognizing parents as their child's first and most important teacher. Responsibilities include connecting families to community resources, facilitating group socializations and community outings, encouraging parent leadership and participation, and supporting family goal achievement through a whole-family approach. The role also requires compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, maintenance of Parent Educator certification, participation in training and outreach efforts, and collaboration to maximize positive outcomes for children and families.
