Description

  

A Master Scheduler serves as the central coordinator for production planning, scheduling, and monitoring in manufacturing environments, translating customer demand into actionable production plans while optimizing resources and costs. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to      align with sales forecasts, production capacity, and inventory goals. 
  • Coordinating with sales, procurement, production, and logistics to      synchronize activities and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitoring production progress, identifying potential disruptions, and implementing contingency plans to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Using advanced scheduling software to create, adjust, and communicate production schedules.
  • Conducting scenario planning and "what-if" analyses to anticipate the impact of demand fluctuations, material shortages, or equipment downtime. 
  • Maintaining accurate records of scheduling activities, changes, and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Capacity planning, forecasting and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize production flow.
  • Proficiency in production management tools and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and supply chain management. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Educational requirements typically include a bachelor’s degree in business administration Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 
  • Relevant certifications in supply chain, project management, or business management are often preferred. 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are essential for designing and implementing effective      production plans and schedules.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to coordinate with various departments      and stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management: A solid understanding of supply chain processes and operations is crucial for ensuring the smooth running of production activities
