Regulatory Affairs & Export Compliance Analyst

Position Summary
The Regulatory Affairs & Export Compliance Analyst coordinates product registrations and ensures food products comply with regulatory requirements across multiple international markets.
Working closely with manufacturers, government agencies, regulatory consultants, and internal teams, this role manages the documentation, labeling, and regulatory processes necessary to commercialize products worldwide.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys research, problem solving, technical documentation, and learning how food products are regulated across different countries.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Affairs & Product Registration
- Manage product registrations and renewals across international markets.
- Research, interpret, and apply country-specific food regulations, including RTCA and other international standards.
- Ensure products comply with regulatory and labeling requirements before commercialization.
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend appropriate actions.
- Obtain, review, and maintain regulatory documentation, including:
- Certificates of Free Sale
- Product Specifications
- Certificates of Analysis
- Manufacturing Flow Charts
- Composition Ratio documentation
- Plant Registrations and Certifications
- USDA Affidavits
- Export Certificates
- Other documentation required by international regulatory agencies
Labeling & Product Compliance
- Review product labels for regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate multilingual and complementary labels required for export markets.
- Verify country-specific labeling requirements.
- Coordinate artwork updates resulting from regulatory or product changes.
Government & Industry Relations
- Coordinate directly with government ministries, USDA, Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC), regulatory consultants, manufacturers, and other industry partners.
- Support USDA dairy export certificate audits by coordinating documentation between manufacturers, USDA personnel, and internal departments.
- Coordinate submission of product samples and regulatory documentation to government agencies for evaluation and approval.
Trade Compliance & Vendor Management
- Assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications.
- Support Free Trade Agreement documentation requirements.
- Coordinate export certifications and affidavits.
- Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory consultants and service providers in multiple countries.
- Review invoices, negotiate service fees, and coordinate regulatory projects to ensure timely completion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Operations, Leadership, and manufacturers to support product launches, communicate registration status, resolve documentation issues, and identify regulatory solutions.
- Maintain regulatory databases, registration records, and electronic document archives.
- Manage workflows using Monday.com.
- Continuously improve compliance processes and identify opportunities to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in:
- Nutrition (preferred)
- Food Science
- Food Technology
- Regulatory Affairs
- Other related scientific discipline
Experience
- Approximately 1–2 years of experience in regulatory affairs, food labeling, product registration, quality assurance, nutrition, food manufacturing, or a related field.
- Exceptional recent graduates with relevant internships, coursework, or research experience are encouraged to apply.
- International regulatory experience is a plus but not required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Monday.com is a plus.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Ability to travel internationally on an occasional basis (less than 25%).
