Job DetailsJob Location: Office of Cuba Broadcasting - Doral, FL 33166Primary responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage social media content strategies aligned with broadcasting and organizational goals. Create, edit, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging digital channels. Collaborate with producers, editors, reporters, and communications teams to promote broadcast programming, special events, and organizational initiatives. Manage social media calendars and ensure timely delivery of content to support news, programming, and audience engagement objectives. Monitor social media trends, audience interests, and platform developments to identify opportunities for increased reach and engagement. Adapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assigned Versions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assigned Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned Contributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assigned As assigned, edits and approves copy and content prepared or written by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in his/her assigned stories Contributes finished products meeting standards to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material and static and motion graphics, as assigned Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines Makes suggestions about policy and workflow improvements Works independently or as a member of a team Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assigned Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOA’s digital asset management system Other related duties as assigned About the Agency The United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is an exciting, multi-media, multi-cultural, global media agency that carries out all United States civilian international broadcasting.
