We are seeking an Automotive Service Technician (preferably with DIESELexperience) to join our team in Dothan AL. This is a full-time DIRECT-HIRE position with competitive pay and benefits.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct Inspections: Identify faulty parts and/or components that need repair or replacement
Diagnose Issues: Use diagnostic tools to identify problems in vehicles, including engine, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Perform Repairs/Replacements: Conduct repairs and/or perform full replacements on various vehicle systems such as electrical systems, brakes, hydraulics, hydrostatic drives, transmissions, and air conditioning units.
Routine/Preventative Maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance tasks including (but not limited to) oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid level checks to ensure the longevity of engines.
Customer Communication: Explain automotive repairs and issues to customers, providing estimates (when possible) as well as recommendations for service.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used AND services provided.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety AND environmental regulations in the workplace, ensuring a clean and organized work area.

REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing & repairing a WIDE range of automotive systems.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to identify issues & develop effective solutions.
Attention-to-Detail: Ensure all repairs & maintenance tasks are performed accurately AND safely.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work (as needed) in sometimes uncomfortable positions.
DIESEL experience is PREFERRED(but not required).
Education: Completion of a post-secondary program in AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY (or a related field) is PREFERRED (but not required).

***Certifications from organizations like the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is HIGHLY REGARDED***

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a current/valid Driver's License.
MUST have a current/clear DOT Physical.
Must have your own BASIC tools.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Must pass a pre-employment Background Check (Level 1)

SCHEDULE:
Full-time
Monday - Friday
7am - 5pm

PAY:
Starting Pay Range: $24/hr. --- $38/hr.
