Job Description The HR Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all human resources operations and serving as the Office Manager for Pepi Foods’ administrative team. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this position manages the full scope of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR compliance across all five states Pepi serves. This role requires a high level of detail, accuracy, and follow through, ensuring every HR and administrative process meets Pepi’s standards for excellence. The HR Manager plays a critical role in fostering a strong culture, supporting team members, and upholding Pepi’s mission and core values. Job Responsibilities Leadership •    Provide strategic direction and daily oversight for all HR functions, ensuring alignment with Pepi’s core values and organizational goals. •    Serve as Office Manager for the administrative team, providing leadership, coordination, and support to ensure smooth day to day office operations. •    Model and enforce a detail driven approach to HR and administrative work, ensuring accuracy in documentation, communication, and execution of all processes. •    Partner with executive leadership and department managers to anticipate workforce needs, strengthen culture, and support operational success. •    Lead regular HR and administrative meetings to review staffing metrics, employee engagement trends, office needs, and ongoing initiatives. Stewardship •    Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding, ensuring a consistent and high quality employee experience. •    Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave administration, and wellness initiatives, ensuring accuracy and timely communication. •    Maintain HR systems, personnel files, and workforce data with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and efficient workflows. •    Support managers in performance management processes, including evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and development planning. •    Oversee administrative office operations, including supplies, vendor coordination, office equipment, meeting logistics, and general support for corporate staff. •    Monitor HR and administrative budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. Compliance •    Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws across Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and wage and hour regulations. •    Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits, inspections, and internal reporting, upholding Pepi’s “Gold Standard” for HR integrity. •    Oversee workplace safety programs in partnership with department leaders, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards and company policies. •    Conduct and document investigations related to employee relations, policy violations, or workplace concerns, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and timely resolution. •    Ensure all HR policies, handbooks, and procedures remain current, compliant, and aligned with Pepi’s culture and values. •    Maintain administrative compliance related to office operations, including vendor contracts, facility procedures, and internal administrative standards.  QualificationsYour opportunity/benefits... Job Qualifications Education •    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred. •    Equivalent experience in a senior HR role may substitute for formal education. Experience •    5+ years of HR management or generalist experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or multi location HR role. •    Experience managing HR functions and/or administrative operations strongly preferred. •    Proven track record in recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. •    Experience supporting multi state operations strongly preferred. •    Competency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerBI, and HRIS platforms. Ability to quickly learn additional internal software as needed.
