Job Title: Final Finish Technician

Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager

Job Summary

The Final Finish Technician is responsible for the final inspection, finishing, and preparation of products before shipment. This role ensures all products meet quality standards, appearance requirements, and customer specifications through sanding, polishing, touch-ups, cleaning, and final quality checks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform final finishing operations including sanding, buffing, polishing, grinding, or touch-up work
  • Inspect finished products for quality, defects, and compliance with specifications
  • Repair minor surface imperfections such as scratches, dents, or blemishes
  • Clean, label, and prepare finished products for packaging or shipment
  • Follow work instructions, blueprints, or quality standards
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Document quality checks and report defects or issues to supervisors
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet deadlines
  • Adhere to all safety rules, company policies, and production procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or finishing experience preferred 
  • Ability to identify cosmetic and functional defects
  • Basic understanding of quality control standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and work in varying positions

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing or shop-floor environment
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and machinery
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
