Senior Tax Accountant

STV is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This position is designated as hybrid (3 days week in office) and can be located in one of the following offices: Atlanta, GA, Douglassville, PA, Philadelphia, PA, or Charlotte, NC. Note that there will be period travel needed to our Douglassville office as needed.

Job responsibilities include:

• Support the company's income tax process, including the preparation of financial information for external service providers
• Prepare and/or review federal and multistate income and franchise tax returns
• Coordinate timely tax payments to various income tax authorities.
• Maintain, review, and reconcile tax accounts, and proactively resolve discrepancies
• Prepare various indirect tax returns, such as sales and use, personal property, business licenses and other tax filings
• Conduct technical research to address tax issues
• Support company tax audits, respond to tax notices, and facilitate timely resolution of other tax matters under the guidance of the Sr.Tax Manager
• Serve as a resource for tax department management, assisting with day-to-day issues and inquiries arising from all company areas
• Completes other special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, supported by a minimum of 6 years' work experience as a corporate accountant or 3 years' work experience in public accounting
• Active CPA license in your work state required
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet highly detailed reporting requirements
• Effective prioritization and multitasking skills, especially under tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite of products
