Quality Assurance SpecialistÂ
Processing | Douglasville, GA | Full-Time, HourlyÂ
POSITION OVERVIEWÂ
The Quality Assurance Specialist safeguards the quality and accuracy of merchandise moving through our Douglasville processing area. This role inspects items as they are processed, reviews customer returns to pinpoint what went wrong, and routes those findings to the Processing Supervisor and the team huddle so issues get corrected at the source. Sitting independent of processing output and reporting to the Retail Manager, the QA Specialist is the checkpoint that keeps defects and mis-graded product from reaching our customers — protecting revenue and buyer trust.Â
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Quality InspectionÂ
- Inspect items in-process at the line — sampling work as it is processed, not only finished goods — against a written quality and grading standard.Â
- Catch defects and mis-grades before items move to retail.Â
- Verify that grading and item descriptions match the actual product.Â
Returns Review & Root CauseÂ
- Review customer returns daily to identify what caused each issue.Â
- Determine which items need to go back to the Processing Supervisor for review, and which should be raised in the team huddle for everyone to learn from.Â
- Log defects and mis-grades, categorize root causes, and report weekly trends to leadership.Â
Standards & Continuous ImprovementÂ
- Run periodic process-adherence audits and coach the team on corrective actions.Â
- Own and maintain the processing QA checklist and grading criteria.Â
- Report to the Retail Manager on quality performance and return trends to drive down return rates.Â
SCHEDULE & HOURSÂ
- Target shift start time: 9:00 AM (may vary or change based on business needs)Â
- Sundays off — every weekÂ
- Must be flexible to work additional hours and stay late as neededÂ
- Punctuality and reliability are essentialÂ
COMPENSATION & BENEFITSÂ
- Starting at $17 per hourÂ
- Medical, dental, and vision insuranceÂ
- Accrued paid time off (PTO)Â
- Sundays off — every weekÂ
REQUIREMENTSÂ
- High school diploma or equivalentÂ
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in applying standardsÂ
- Comfortable communicating quality issues clearly and objectivelyÂ
- Reliable personal transportationÂ
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently; heavier items with team lift assistanceÂ
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shiftÂ
- Prior QA, inspection, or retail/warehouse experience is a plusÂ
