The American Animal Hospital, a busy 3 doctor practice located in Randolph NJ, is seeking a dedicated team player to join our team at the front desk! Our ideal applicant will have experience in a fast paced environment with a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize various job functions. Our receptionists are the first and last impression that every person has at our hospital and because of this we take great pride in our relationship with our clients. Strong interpersonal skills are a must as well as contributing to the team dynamic. For this reason we prefer applicants with experience dealing with clients face to face as opposed to over the phone. Must have experience in a veterinary or medical setting with the ability to work evenings and weekends. We offer competitive benefits plus a 401(k). 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Answer a high volume of phone calls 

  • Provide information about our products and services 

  • Checking in/out clients 

  • Document and update patient records 

  • Coordinate and schedule appointments and surgeries 

  • Process invoices and payments 

  • Respond to client emails/texts and process faxes 

  • Communicate with doctors and technical staff to ensure pet health care needs are taken care of 

  • Various other clerical duties as assigned 

 Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience in customer service in veterinary or medical setting 

  • Ability to build rapport with clients 

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask 

  • Positive and professional demeanor 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
