JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION:  Logistics/Shipping Supervisor LEVEL OF AUTHORITY:  Supervisor THIS POSITION REPORTS TO:  Plant Manager JOB TITLES REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:  Shipping Associates            ROLE:  Manage all aspects of customer order fulfillment process, while executing best practices to ensure efficient and cost effective deliveries of AMEC product.  RESPONSIBILITIES:  Supervise shipping associates and effectively apply resources to meet demand. Identify opportunities within the order fulfillment process which may increase throughput, minimize costs, reduce delivery times and increase customer satisfaction. Administer the Warehouse Management System data to ensure accuracy, maximize storage capacity and increase handling efficiency. Maintain all shipping related data required to effectively ship both domestically and internationally. Meet corporate and departmental goals and objectives Other Duties as assigned by Plant Manager QualificationsEducation:       Two year degree in Logistics/supply chain management, preferred. Experience:     Three to five years in a similar role, preferred. Skills / Minimum Requirements:                     Must have organizational skills, including the ability to develop, manage, coordinate,       direct, implement and monitor new processes. Must have the ability to communicate at the highest level both written and verbal.
