SITE MANAGER-Milford, DE (PT)

MONDAY - FRIDAY (7:30 am to 1:30 PM)

MEALS ON WHEELS Milford Senior Center  


 

JOB SUMMARY 

Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in preparing and serving balanced meals to clients at senior centers and low-income housing facilities throughout Kent County. Tasks include coordinating the packing and delivery of meals for Meals on Wheels clients and serving congregate clients. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of congregate meal service 
  • Coordinates the delivery of meals to Homebound clients, from receiving the food from MMC to packing and delivering the meal to the Homebound seniors 
  • Coordinates the schedules of the Meals on Wheels volunteers 
  • Ensures that special clients are met as determined by the Director of Nutrition Services at MMC 
  • Trains and monitors volunteers 
  • Supervises subordinates and coordinates activities of workers engaged in serving meals, packing and serving food, and cleaning the kitchen and dining room 
  • Keeps records and completes reports for monthly billing 
  • Orders supplies, paper goods, and food from MMC or other vendors for day-to-day use 
  • Distributes and collects intake forms for submission to Data Entry staff 
  • Ensure all safety and sanitation rules are followed. 
  • Collects donations and prepares deposit forms 
  • Follows all food code regulations 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

 

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES 

  • Current ServSafe certification preferred but not required 
  • Valid driver's license with 0 points.  Motor Vehicle Record will be checked.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Must know Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet software

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods 
  • Must be able to lift and move at least 30 lbs.
