Special Education Teacher

Job Title: Special Education Teacher (EI)
Location: Cassopolis, MI
Pay Rate: $40.00 $45.00 per hour

Position Overview:
Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Cassopolis, MI. This full-time role supports a caseload of approximately 8 students. While an Emotional Impairment (EI) endorsement is preferred, candidates with a valid Michigan Special Education endorsement may also be considered under temporary approval.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs.

• Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers.

• Monitor and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.

• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement.

• EI endorsement strongly preferred (temporary approval possible for Special Ed endorsement holders).

• Experience working with students with emotional impairments or related exceptionalities.

• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
