Job Description:

Position Summary:

The costing analyst will primarily be responsible for creating and maintaining costing spreadsheets for A&K tour products, developing pricing recommendations for those products, and providing summarized cost charts for input into A&K’s reservation system.  This position will also be required to assist with supplier invoice review and approval, and provide additional financial analysis as required by the department manager.  

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Pricing & Cost of Sales Analysis

  • Preparation of costing/pricing spreadsheets

  • Identifying significant cost variances and communicating the impact to Product Managers

  • Coordinate with Product Development and Data Build team to ensure accurate costs are built in A&K’s reservation system

  • Provide additional ad-hoc pricing as needed in a timely and efficient manner

Other Duties

  • Assist the USA Accounting team with the review and approval of supplier invoicing

Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced financial modelling skills required

  • Expert in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to explain complex financial information

  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and deliver on expectations

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to read/write/speak in English

Education and Additional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

  • Travel, touring, or hospitality industry preferred

Special Requirements

  • Must maintain a valid passport

  • Occasional international travel

Salary Range

  • 55-65k; position is bonus eligible
