We are looking for a Tax Manager to play a key role in managing U.S. tax compliance while supporting strategic tax initiatives across our growing multinational organization. This position will work closely with Finance, Legal, and business leaders on M&A, Joint Ventures, international transactions, and other complex tax matters involving the U.S., Brazil, and Korea. The ideal candidate is a strong tax professional who can combine technical expertise with practical business insight and make a meaningful impact on the organization.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Lead U.S. tax compliance, planning, and transaction-related tax activities.
- Serve as the primary U.S. tax point of contact, collaborating closely with U.S. leadership and Korea HQ on tax matters affecting the business.
- Provide expertise in U.S. federal and state taxation, Joint Ventures (JV), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and cross-border transactions while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Oversee tax accounting and reporting activities, including ASC 740 processes managed by external advisors or internal stakeholders.
- Manage U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting.
- Oversee income tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate and review work performed by external tax advisors, auditors, and consultants.
- Support M&A activities, including tax due diligence, transaction structuring, and integration planning.
- Advise on tax matters related to Joint Ventures, partnerships, and business restructurings.
- Support cross-border transactions involving U.S., Brazil, Korea, and other international affiliates.
- Partner closely with Korea HQ to ensure alignment on tax compliance, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
- Provide guidance on transfer pricing, withholding tax, and international tax matters.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management on tax-related business decisions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxation.
- Experience with M&A transactions, tax due diligence, and Joint Ventures.
- Knowledge of international tax and transfer pricing.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Business proficiency in English and Korean.
- Experience in multinational organizations and SAP (or similar ERP systems)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS 7 WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexible).
- May supervise and provide guidance to tax staff or other team members.
- Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment utilizing standard office equipment.
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting multinational operations, M&A, and JV structures preferred.
