General Responsiblites

Hours: Monday-Friday 12pm-7pm

  1. Provide ongoing mental health services to adult and child clients, families, couples, and groups.
  2. Conduct phone therapy, video telehealth, and face-to-face interviews for assessments and on-going therapeutic support as outlined in clients’ treatment plans. Sessions may be in office or in the community at clients’ homes.
  3. Maintain case records and reports according to agency policies and state guidelines, Rule 132 and Rule 140.
  4. Participate in case consultations and reviews with agency personnel and outside professionals.
  5. Engage in development and planning activities for the Counseling Program.
  6. Conduct clinical assessments and provide crisis interventions as needed.
  7. Meet monthly productivity targets and standards for timely completion of clinical documentation.
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and education requirements.
  9. Participate in agency meetings, conferences, and training programs as recommended.
  10. Travel to various Catholic Charities sites and other locations as needed.
  11. Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.

Requirements

  1. Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  2. One year or three years perfered of clinical training or internship experience in community mental health, outpatient, school, or hospital settings.
  3. Completion of licensure in Illinois as (AMFT, LSW, LPC) or related credential recommended within one year of employment or Licensure in Illinois as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) perferred.
  4. Bilingual Spanish skills preferred (must pass a bilingual assessment).
  5. Training and experience in clinical assessments and outpatient psychotherapy.
  6. Competence in providing culturally sensitive interventions to diverse clientele.
  7. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  8. Interest and skill in networking and community outreach.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working within an electronic health record system (Outlook, Word, Teams).
  10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
