Reyes Fleet Management, 1 of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S.,  is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to help with the repairs and maintenance of our tractor and trailer equipment at our Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling shop in Downey.

You will also be working on our light duty vans (Ford and Chevy) and MHE equipment.

 

Shift: Full-Time l Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday  3:00pm-11:30pm OR

                          Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday   3:00pm-11:30pm 

Pay:  $43.14/hr

Position Responsibilities: 

  • The Fleet Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment, as well as the diagnostics and rebuilding of clutches and brake systems 
  • As a Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance using the online AssetWorks system 
  • You will operate a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment as part of roadside service calls 
  • You will ensure that equipment has the required licensing and registration before being deemed "roadworthy" 
  • You will install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS or XataNet) and/or cameras (DriveCam) 
  • You will work in accordance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations to ensure safety 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 to 4 years of related experience 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds 
  • Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement) 
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Technical School Certification
