ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Mid-level Full Stack Engineer to support and evolve a live Hiring Events platform operating in a high-production, real-time environment. You will troubleshoot and resolve production issues across backend systems built on Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, while maintaining frontend experiences in React and collaborating closely with Client Support and GTM teams. The role requires strong ownership, fast ramp-up, and comfort managing deployments and production releases independently.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to live hiring events and platform functionality;
- Collaborate closely with Client Support and GTM teams to triage and prioritize support requests;
- Monitor production systems and respond quickly to alerts, incidents, and performance degradation;
- Ensure issues are resolved within established SLAs while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction;
- Support architecture updates, integrations, and dependency changes impacting event functionality;
- Maintain and improve backend and frontend systems powering hiring events and lobby experiences;
- Take ownership of deployments, code merges, and production releases;
- Help lead, mentor, onboard, and support other engineers joining the team;
- Use data and logs to investigate and troubleshoot production issues effectively;
- Contribute to technical prioritization and strategic decision-making across multiple projects.

MUST HAVES
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience;
- Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot;
- Strong backend development experience with Python and Django;
- Strong frontend experience with React;
- Experience working with Kafka, GraphQL, and SQL and/or MongoDB;
- Experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes;
- Proven ability to ramp up quickly and take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously;
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues in live environments;
- Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena;
- Strong debugging and data-analysis skills for investigating production incidents;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES
- Previous Product Manager or cross-functional prioritization experience;
- Experience working with GTM and client-facing teams;
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf;
- Experience leading teams, coordinating work across engineers, or acting as a technical lead.
