ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build customer-facing features across Django backend services and React/TypeScript frontend applications for a marketplace platform serving renters, landlords, and multifamily operators. You will own features end-to-end — from schema design and REST APIs to UI and production rollout — while using AI coding tools as a regular part of your daily workflow. The role includes on-call participation and close collaboration with product, design, and data science teams in a fully remote environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ship customer-facing features end-to-end, including schema work, APIs, frontend UI, tests, and rollout;
- Build and maintain backend services using Python, Django, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and REST/JSON APIs;
- Develop frontend applications using React, Redux, TypeScript, and server-side rendering;
- Partner with product managers on scoping, tradeoffs, and technical feasibility;
- Push back on requirements when needed and contribute to better product and technical decisions;
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions;
- Use AI coding tools as a regular part of the development workflow;
- Contribute to internal AI agent platforms;
- Support production reliability through on-call participation;
- Collaborate with product, design, data science, and engineering stakeholders in a remote environment.
MUST HAVES
- 3+ years of professional fullstack experience shipping production code;
- Strong experience with Python and Django;
- Experience with ORM modeling, REST APIs design, and efficient PostgreSQL queries;
- Strong experience with React and TypeScript;
- Comfortable with component architecture, state management, and browser performance basics;
- Fluency with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and code review workflows;
- Active daily use of AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar;
- Experience participating in on-call rotations for production services;
- Ability to triage incidents, escalate when needed, and contribute to follow-up postmortems;
- Clear written communication skills in a fully remote environment;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with marketplace, two-sided, or proptech products;
- Production experience with AWS or another major cloud provider;
- Experience with Node.js services;
- Experience contributing to RFCs, design docs, or technical proposals;
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or using code reviews as teaching moments.
