Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Downey, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report concerns while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time / Swing Shift 

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and/or patient and staff support within the facility.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
