Position Summary

The Lead Mitigation Technician plays a key hands-on role in assessing property damage, performing mitigation services, and ensuring projects are completed in accordance with IICRC standards. This position leads by example in the field, delivers excellent customer service, and works closely with management and office staff to ensure accurate documentation, efficient job completion, and positive customer experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess residential and commercial property damage caused by water, fire, mold, or weather events
     
  • Perform water mitigation and extraction services, including emergency response work
     
  • Set up, monitor, manage, and complete drying processes in accordance with IICRC guidelines
     
  • Perform decontamination, deodorization, and detailed cleaning of structures and contents
     
  • Determine salvageable vs. non-salvageable materials and assist with job scope execution
     
  • Document all work accurately and timely in company software applications
     
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners, business owners, management, and office personnel
     
  • Deliver professional customer service that promotes trust, satisfaction, and positive reviews
     
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required
     

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for company vehicle use)
     
  • Minimum of 1 year of water mitigation/restoration experience
     
  • Comfortable working in various environments and weather conditions
     
  • Ability to stand, lift, and perform physical labor for the duration of shifts
     
  • Proficient with hand and power tools commonly used in restoration work
     
  • Strong communication, listening, and teamwork skills
     
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently when needed
     
  • Must be drug-free in accordance with company policy
     
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours and emergency response work
