We are seeking a Manager of Regional Environmental Services where you will be responsible for leading proposal preparation and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for both the client and the NJDEP to navigate complex regulatory requirements.  You will demonstrate strong technical competency and regulatory fluency, financial management, and the ability to mentor junior professionals while maintaining high-quality client service.  The position includes helping executive leadership chart strategy for growth of assessment and remediation services.

A hybrid or remote work setting will be available for NJ-based candidates. 

Compensation will be aligned with demonstrated project management and regulatory experience, ability to independently manage NJDEP-regulated projects, and business development potential. Performance-based bonus eligibility applies.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical

  • Direct and oversee remediation projects in compliance with NJDEP regulations. Ensuring all phases—from Preliminary Assessment (PA) to Remedial Action (RA)—strictly adhere to NJDEP standards.
  • Use professional judgment to issue Response Action Outcomes (RAOs), the final sign-off for a site's remediation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage field investigation and remedial activities.
  • Oversee subcontractors and remediation contractors.
  • Interpret environmental data and develop practical, defensible remedial strategies.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory submissions.
  • Develop proposals, scopes of work, and detailed cost estimates.

Client & Staff Leadership

  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients and interface with regulatory agencies, including NJDEP.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior staff.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional environmental consulting experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing due diligence, investigation, and remediation projects in New Jersey.
  • Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP).
  • Strong working knowledge of ASTM E1527-21, NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (N.J.A.C. 7:26E), Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites (N.J.A.C. 7:26C)
  • Proven project management capability including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior technical staff.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current refreshers.
