Job Description

Aramark is hiring a Maintenance Worker / Maintenance Technician in Doylestown, PA to support facility operations within a secure correctional environment. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform day-to-day maintenance and basic repairs on plumbing, electrical, and general building systems using a CMMS work order system. You’ll complete preventative maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and help keep the facility safe, operational, and well-maintained. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a rotating on-call assignment approximately once every 9 weeks. This role is ideal for someone with trade experience who is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in structured environments. If you have experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or in a skilled trade, this is a strong opportunity for consistent, steady work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers. 
  • Adaptable to customer needs.
  • Repairs various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, office equipment, etc.
  • Inspects assigned area on a routine basis and performs maintenance as needed to keep facility in functioning and serviceable condition.
  • Completes daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Reports on any major maintenance need and recommends corrective action as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates efficient and safe use of equipment and tools.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to component and departmental training commitments.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, or a skilled trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Willingness to participate in rotating on-call coverage (1 week approximately every 9 weeks)
  • Ability to work in a correctional facility environment and follow strict security guidelines
  • Physically able to lift, bend, climb, and perform hands-on maintenance tasks

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
