Purpose of the Position
Â
To safely and efficiently operate commercial vehicles (Class A or Class B) to transport materials, tools, equipment, and personnel to and from various job sites. The CDL Driver will ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols while maintaining the vehicle in good operating condition.

Essential Position Responsibilities
Â
- Safely operates commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment between job sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, identifying and reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Adheres to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies while driving on public roads and job sites.
- Ensures that loads are properly secured and that materials are safely packed for transport.
- Assists with loading and unloading equipment, tools, and materials as needed.
- Keeps daily logs of driving activities, vehicle inspections, and any repairs or maintenance performed.
- Communicates with dispatch, project managers, or supervisors regarding delivery schedules, delays, or route adjustments.
- Ensures that vehicle is clean and well-maintained, performing minor maintenance as needed (e.g., checking oil levels, tire pressure).
- Follows directions of foremen, supervisors, and managers.
- May assist in general labor activities on job sites when not driving.

Physical activities: Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving. Requires the ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Must be able to bend, kneel, twist, and stand for periods while assisting with loading and unloading. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme hot/cold, wet/dry environments. Requires the ability to perform repetitive motions, such as steering, shifting, and handling materials.
