ABOUT THE POSITION 

We are looking for a strong Product Manager, Merchant Experience to lead the post-enrollment merchant experience and shape how merchants operate, transact, and grow within our ecosystem. This role owns day-to-day merchant workflows, platform integrations, and in-store experiences that enable merchants to operate efficiently and convert customers with confidence. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for the merchant lifecycle from enrollment through activation and early scale, with a focus on reducing friction and increasing engagement. 

  • Develop a deep understanding of merchant workflows, including integrations, portal usage, training touchpoints, and in-store processes that influence customer conversion. 

  • Translate merchant needs and business objectives into clear requirements and scalable solutions across integrations, tooling, reporting, and operational workflows. 

  • Partner with engineering, design, sales, operations, risk, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality solutions that balance usability, compliance, and performance. 

  • Identify friction points in merchant adoption and daily usage, and prioritize enhancements that improve speed, clarity, and ease of use. 

  • Leverage data and experimentation to evaluate feature performance, platform adoption, and operational impact, and translate insights into roadmap decisions. 

  • Establish clear activation and adoption KPIs such as time to first lease, activation rate, funded lease velocity, integration success rate, and merchant satisfaction. 

  • Influence third-party integrations and platform investments that enhance merchant capabilities and reduce operational burden. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3–5 years of product management experience building and improving consumer-facing digital products. 

  • Experience working on B2B or merchant-facing products, ideally within retail, commerce, or fintech environments. 

  • Strong understanding of integrations, APIs, and system dependencies that support real-world operational workflows. 

  • Proven ability to define product strategy and execute from discovery through launch and iteration. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to inform prioritization and measure impact. 

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to align diverse stakeholders around shared goals. 

  • A proactive and organized working style with strong judgment in ambiguous problem spaces. 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
