Must reside within 45 minutes of the school district
Master's Degree in Speech & Language Pathology, Valid full Michigan
License in Speech and Language Pathology
Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency/ (CCC); CFs can be considered
Current LARA licensure
Must possess and demonstrate a strong understanding of the areas of
standardized and informal assessment strategies related to communication disorders
Must be confident in the ability to conduct comprehensive speech & language evaluations
Plan and provide services for students who have been identified as speech and language impaired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate speech and language functions
Complete, comprehensive, and appropriate evaluations according to MARSE
Standards, District Guidelines, and ASHA Guidelines
Provide a complete diagnostic summary report, including a summary of the evaluation information
Maintain communication with parents and other relevant team members
Document student progress through specific objectives and long-term goals
Complete Medicaid billing services are provided to students in an efficient,
Comprehensive and timely manner
Participate in building designated teams to provide pre-referral
interventions
When appropriate, make a referral for further evaluation
Provide direct services related to expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language
Position Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist in our private practice, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions to children with speech-language and/or feeding/swallowing disorders. Our ideal candidate is a passionate and knowledgeable team member who is looking to grow their clinical skills in a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. We believe in collaboration and work-life balance. Feeding, Bilingual (English/Spanish), and/or AAC experience preferred but not required.
The candidate must be available to work after school hours. A typical week's schedule will include working 3 days from 10-7, and two days from 8-5, with one of the earlier days on Friday. Every day includes an hour lunch break. Productivity can vary from 75% to 88% without cancellation,s depending upon your desired pay; CFYs will only be scheduled up to 75% productivity. Given our average cancellation rate, typical productivity would be about 64% to 74%. Unproductive time and canceled sessions will be available for therapists to complete other job duties.
- Day-to-day tasks: complete formal evaluations, develop plans of care, plan and conduct therapy, complete progress reports, complete discharge summaries, educate family and caregivers, communicate with families and team members as needed, collaborate with our/client's multidisciplinary team, cleaning/sanitizing of used materials, and keeping workspace tidy

Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. (if applicable)
- Educator Certificate (if applicable)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) unless a CF.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in private practice or outpatient settings preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus.
- Dedication to providing culturally competent and client-centered care.
