Summary/Objective

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the facilities, diagnosing maintenance issues, and following through with solutions. This position also provides maintenance service to the homeownership on a regular or a la carte basis.

Essential Functions

For all items below, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for inspecting, repairing, sourcing repair assistance, monitoring, and following up to ensure repair and maintenance are completed to expectation. This is not an exhaustive list. As the development evolves, so too will the Maintenance Role.

  1. Check the wellness center for maintenance needs and repair or source repair.
  2. Check the pool room for any leaks and chemical levels.
  3. Check the pool deck and pool for any garbage.
  4. Check kitchen freezers and coolers for temperature and proper operation.
  5. Check the exhaust system for functionality.
  6. Check lights and turn off as necessary.
  7. Check Admin for lights, heat,/ac.
  8. Walk and inspect all property buildings for maintenance repairs and upkeep.
  9. Check both comfort stations for maintenance needs.
  10. Respond to property maintenance calls and emergencies from staff and homeowners.
  11. Ensure property gates are in operation.
  12. Ensure trash is put out at homes for pickup.
  13. Record a bimonthly checklist for owners.
  14. Report anything broken to Maintenance manager.
  15. Maintain the condition of the company vehicles.
  16. Adhere to all employee handbook policies and procedures.

 

Marginal Function

  1. Create partnerships with department managers to ensure regular communication and maintenance needs are met.
  2. Assist members and employees with questions and take ownership of simple requests.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position is and indoor and outdoor position that will be subject to weather conditions and other hazards found in these areas. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falls, cuts, sun exposure, chemicals, and other injury related hazards.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full-time, Regular position. Days and hours of work are typically 2-4 days at 8 to 10 hours each day on average and may be adjusted for business needs. Overtime is possible. Must have the ability to work weekends, holidays, days, and nights with flexible hours. Schedule is subject to change, and applicants must be flexible with schedule adjustments.

Travel

There may be light travel requirements for this position in and around Teton County, ID and potentially as far as Idaho Falls.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School GED, vocational tech, or similar position training.
  2. Previous Experience in a maintenance or handyman-related field

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Extensive experience in a maintenance or handyman-related field.
  2. Comfort diagnosing Electric and Plumbing issues.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications Work Authorization

Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for I-9 form purposes.
