Description

 Job Summary 

Nolte Precise Manufacturing, located on the west side of Cincinnati Ohio, is in need of first shift Shipping and Receiving Technician.  First shift is 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM Mon-Thur., with overtime available on an as needed basis. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. 
  • Compares identifying information on counts, weights or measures for all incoming and outgoing shipments to identify information against bills of lading, packing lists, orders or other records. 
  • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates. 
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons to identify where package is going and method of shipment. 
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. 
  • Requisitions shipping materials and supplies to ensure a supply is on hand.  
  • May operate folk lift truck or use hand truck to move product.  

Primary Job Duties:

  • Loads, unloads and stores materials, components and supplies within or near plant.
  • Opens containers and bundles to verify quantity and product against Purchase orders for receiving.
  • Prepares items for shipping by picking, banding, strapping, bracing or padding to prevent damage of product in accordance with       shipment schedule.
  • Communicate with carriers to pick up specifications and special delivery instructions.
  • Secures lifting attachments to materials to load or unload to destination using crane or hoist.
  • Keeping shipping/receiving area clear of trip, slip or fall hazards.
  • Lifts heavy objects by hand or using manual or power equipment.
  • Operate forklift to move materials, as needed.
  • Follow policies and procedures, Vision, Values, Principles and Philosophies.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance.
  • All other duties as assigned

  Knowledge & Skill Requirements: 

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Material Handling experience
  • Forklift experience is required
  • Crane and hoist experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift average of 25lbs including bending, twisting, crouching, etc.
  • Must be able to stand for 10-hour work shift
  • Must be able to work with oils/coolants
  • Must be able to work in noisy environment
  • Must be able to work where temperature swings occur (heat in summer, cold in winter)
