Restaurant General Manager job responsibilities.

Essential Tasks:

People Development (50%)

Lead with Purpose: Champion a welcoming and inclusive environment for employees and guests and

uphold our employee handbook and model positive behavior every day

Recruit & Onboard Top Talent: Use all available tools to recruit Team Members, Shift Managers, and

Assistant Managers. Conduct engaging new hire orientations and ensure timely completion of onboarding

paperwork.

Train & Develop Future Leaders: Create personalized training plans with clear 90- and 180-day goals. Host

one-on-one development check-ins every 60 days. Collaborate on schedules that support growth while

meeting business needs.

Drive Performance & Recognition: Ensure shift leaders follow deployment charts to maximize team

development. Celebrate achievements in creative and meaningful ways. Conduct annual performance reviews

that reflect growth, goals, and career aspirations.

Resolve & Support: Address employee concerns with professionalism and care. Foster a culture of

accountability, support, and continuous improvement.


Business Operations (30%)

• Drive Operational Success: Analyze financial reports to control costs and implement strategic

improvements that align with company goals.

• Empower Your Team: Train and mentor direct reports to understand and utilize performance metrics,

ensuring every shift meets food and labor targets.

• Champion Standards: Ensure all team members are fully trained and compliant with food safety,

sanitation, and safety regulations.

• Manage Resources: Oversee inventory levels and daily paperwork, including banking, accounting,

labor reports, marketing materials, and HR documentation. Deliver Excellence: Uphold brand standards

for quality, customer experience, and order accuracy across all shifts.

• Lead Production: Supervise food preparation and maintain high standards of consistency and

presentation.

• Audit & Improve: Conduct regular inventory audits, ensuring proper labeling and dating for optimal

food safety and inventory control.

• Collaborate for Growth: Partner bi-monthly with Marketing and HR Directors to develop strategies for

audience engagement and team development.

• Resolve & Report: Communicate effectively with the home office to resolve discrepancies and ensure

smooth operations.

• Adapt & Excel: Take on additional responsibilities as needed, contributing to a dynamic and evolving

workplace.

Customer Satisfaction (20%)

• Create memorable moments: Deliver outstanding service that keeps guests coming back.

• Turn challenges into loyalty: Resolve customer concerns with empathy and professionalism.

• Be a local Leader: Promote the brand through community events and word-of-mouth.


Job Requirements and Essential Functions:

• High School Diploma or GED, College degree or equivalent Taco Bell/industry experience preferred

• 3-5 years supervisory experience in either a food service or retail environment, including Profit and Loss

responsibility.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality are a necessity.

• Able to perform basic business math.

• Basic Microsoft Office skills required.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills required.

• Must have accessibility to dependable and reliable transportation to complete banking and business

requirements.

• Able to complete required online training and certification modules.

• Physical dexterity required (the ability to move up to 45 lbs. from one area to another).

• Able to complete tasks that include stooping, pushing/pulling up to 20 lbs.

• Able to tolerate standing, walking, bending, twisting, and stooping during 90% of shift time.
