LOCATION: Dublin, GA

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia’s is seeking a qualified individual to serve as our next Clinician III at our new Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) in Dublin, GA. This State-of-the-art new facility features 40 total patient beds, including 24 crisis stabilization beds and 16 temporary observation beds, offering both voluntary and involuntary patients access to safe, secure, and compassionate care. This facility will provide critical support and stabilization services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises in a safe, structured environment where individuals can begin their journey towards healing and recovery.

Job Description: 

  • Deliver counseling and educational services to individuals and their families/significant others in accordance with individualized treatment plans. 
  • Adhere to ethical and professional counseling standards in all interactions with individuals, families, and external agencies. 
  • Conduct initial screening interviews to assess substance use and identify co-occurring or additional concerns. 
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations, suicide risk assessments (C-SSRS), safety plans, and individualized treatment plans for each individual within required timeframes. 
  • Complete the Crisis Treatment Plan bundle, ensuring all required components are accurate and up to date. 
  • Complete the C-SSRS within four hours of admission. If completed by nursing staff, review findings and complete an additional assessment if clinically indicated. Ensure appropriate chart flagging based on results. 
  • Obtain all required signatures for crisis safety plans and crisis treatment plans and provide copies to the individual. 
  • Meet with individuals at established intervals to review progress toward treatment goals and update treatment plans as needed. 
  • Assist individuals in developing appropriate, individualized treatment goals and interventions within established timeframes. 
  • Facilitate and coordinate referrals to appropriate service providers (e.g., AA, NA, CSI, and other community resources) as needed. 
  • Link individuals to outpatient services and ensure proper documentation of referrals, access, and coordination of care. 
  • Be available 24/7 for crisis services and assist in facilitating Temporary Observation (TO), Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) admissions, or connections to outpatient services. 
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, discharge summaries, contact logs, caseload reports, diagnostic screenings, and other required administrative documentation. 
  • Communicate and distribute relevant documentation to appropriate staff in a timely manner. 
  • Provide and facilitate therapeutic group sessions. 
  • Assist with case management services as needed to support continuity of care. 
  • Provide supervision and oversight of individuals on the unit, supporting a safe and structured environment and assisting with enforcement of unit rules as needed. 
  • Assist with pat-down searches in accordance with facility policy. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

 Here are some of the things we require:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the field of psychology, social work, counseling education, human services or a related field of study
  • 4+ Years of Experience as a Licensed Mental Health Provider
  • Active Georgia license to provide mental health services (LPC, LCSW)
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly
