Healthcare Assistant

We are hiring Healthcare Assistants for a leading Nursing home Across Ireland

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs
  

• Safely handle and transfer residents in accordance with manual handling procedures
  

• Deliver meals and assist residents with feeding as required
  

• Collect used meal trays and dishes and ensure residents’ rooms are left clean and tidy
  

• Make beds and change bed linen as required
  

• Provide continence and toileting care, including emptying commodes and changing catheter bags
  

• Support nursing staff in providing appropriate psychological and social care to residents
  

• Maintain constant awareness of residents’ dignity, comfort, safety, and whereabouts
  

• Comply with all hygiene, health, safety, and infection prevention and control requirements
  

• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the nursing or management team
  
  

Requirements

• Relevant healthcare degree or qualification in Nursing, Allied Health, or Medical field
  

• Alternatively, mentoring, training, or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
  

• QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare
  

• Minimum 2 years of care experience
  

• Proven track record as a high-performing Healthcare Assistant
  

• Excellent communication and personal care skills
  

• Knowledge of healthcare standards, including HIQA and infection prevention and control
