We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and service-oriented individuals to join our Dietary Services team as a Dietary Aide. This role plays a vital part in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals and excellent dining service in a clean and welcoming environment.Â
Position SummaryÂ
The Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, food service, dishwashing, and maintaining sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, attentive to resident needs, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.Â
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesÂ
Assist with meal tray preparation and meal service according to resident dietary requirements.Â
Deliver meals and snacks to residents in a timely and courteous manner.Â
Set up and clean dining rooms before and after meals.Â
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.Â
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, serving, and storage areas.Â
Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.Â
Stock food, supplies, and dietary equipment as needed.Â
Assist cooks and dietary staff with food preparation tasks.Â
Properly store food items according to facility procedures.Â
Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, families, and staff.Â
Report concerns regarding resident food intake or dining experience to appropriate personnel.Â
QualificationsÂ
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Â
Previous food service, dietary, restaurant, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred but not required.Â
Ability to read and follow written instructions.Â
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.Â
Strong communication and teamwork skills.Â
Dependable attendance and positive attitude.Â
Physical RequirementsÂ
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Â
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.Â
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Â
