Christ the King Manor is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Worker to support the safe, clean, and efficient operation of our facility. If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff, we encourage you to apply. Position Summary The Maintenance Worker performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping duties to ensure the facility remains in excellent condition. This role supports both the interior and exterior operations of the Manor while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.   Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Moderate reading, writing, and math skills Previous maintenance experience in a healthcare or similar setting preferred   Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: General Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC support, electrical basics) Inspect mechanical rooms and equipment regularly Maintain sidewalks, driveways, and grounds, especially during inclement weather Ensure work areas and storage spaces are clean and organized Operate and maintain equipment such as floor machines, ladders, and hand tools Facility & Equipment Oversight Monitor laundry and facility equipment to ensure proper operation Perform scheduled tasks such as greasing machines, cleaning dryers, and checking pump pits Conduct generator runs, meter readings, and equipment inspections Assist with fire safety compliance (fire drills, extinguisher checks, sprinkler testing) Support biohazard and sharps disposal processes in accordance with regulations Groundskeeping Mow grass, trim shrubs, and maintain overall appearance of grounds Additional Duties Pick up mail and assist with vending machine stocking and maintenance Attend required in-service trainings Follow all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols Perform other related duties as assigned   Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to respond promptly to maintenance needs across the facility Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to safety and detail Effective communication skills (verbal and written in English) Ability to follow written and verbal instructions   Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance for heavier items) Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 90% of shift) Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, and reaching Ability to work in environments with exposure to chemicals, equipment, and healthcare-related conditions   Work Environment This position may involve exposure to: Cleaning chemicals and maintenance equipment Bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases Outdoor weather conditions and temperature variations Schedule Full-time / Part-time (based on facility needs) Must be reliable with strong attendance and punctuality Flexibility to work various shifts as needed Available to work every other Weekend   Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Christ the King Manor is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
