Christ the King Manor is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Worker to support the safe, clean, and efficient operation of our facility. If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff, we encourage you to apply. Position Summary The Maintenance Worker performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping duties to ensure the facility remains in excellent condition. This role supports both the interior and exterior operations of the Manor while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Moderate reading, writing, and math skills Previous maintenance experience in a healthcare or similar setting preferred FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES   General maintenance duties on all shifts, include but are not limited to the following:   Checks mechanical rooms daily and documents three times a week. Checks and properly maintains sidewalks and driveways daily during inclement weather. Performs routine maintenance and repair work including plumbing repairs, carpentry, flooring, painting, refinishing, repair of heating and air conditioning units, changing light bulbs, lubricating motors, changing circulation pumps, and cleaning and oiling exhaust fans. Wears protective clothing and devices when required and/or appropriate. Maintains work areas and storage rooms in a neat and orderly manner.                                                                              Maintenance duties include but are not limited to the following: Checks outside pump pits daily and reports any problems or irregularities. Picks up mail daily. Checks Laundry department daily to ensure all equipment is operational. Greases washing machines twice a week. Records outside gas meter reading for the nursing home and community center weekly. Runs generators every Tuesday. Cleans dryers daily. Cleans roof top dryer vent pipes monthly. Fills pop machines daily. Collects pop machine money weekly. Completes soda order for vending machine weekly. Inspects fire extinguishers, boiler and fire damper motor monthly. Conducts and records fire drill monthly. Conducts sprinkler test quarterly. Completes annual fire extinguisher and smoke detector inspection. Completes annual 2-hour run test on generator. Inspects therapy equipment annually. Mows grass, trims shrubs and weeds and keeps grounds orderly on a weekly basis. Fills soap dispensers on all geriatric tubs weekly. Checks and collects sharps containers weekly for disposal in the Bio-Hazard shed. Packs any full Bio-Hazard waste boxes for pick up by Monday morning. Uses proper body mechanics , good judgment and safety precautions in performing all job duties. Attends all in-service training sessions as required. Adheres to all Christ the King Manor regulations, policies and procedures.   Schedule Full-time - Day shift / Evening Shift Must be reliable with strong attendance and punctuality Flexibility to work various shifts as needed Available to work every other Weekend and Holidays   Christ the King Manor is an Equal Opportunity Employer Qualifications
